Added 19.25 lbs of 1:1 sugar water. Feeder was completely dry.

Filled feeder since it was close to empty. Bees are going through the feed at a rate of about 3 lbs every 2 days.

Filled up feeder since it is supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow.

Convinced of no robbing. Took off robbing screen and opened entrance 75% of total width. Watched hive for 2 days and saw no signs of rival robbers. Wasps stay at bay and all of the bees coming up to the hive make their way over the robbing screen. Going to try wider opening to see if production increases tomorrow. Looking for weight gain.

Added an empty medium super and a bottle of 1:1 sugar syrup until my new top feeder comes in.

Hive weight still going down despite tons of activity and lots of pollen coming in. I niticed some fighting today although they looked like drones coming in. Several were killed and fell off the landing board. I built and installed a robbing screen this evening to observe over the next couple of days.

Removed cover tonight and added a vent board between inner cover and outer cover. This has two 1/2 inch slits to allow venting out either side of the hive through the top. Moisture was not found inside the outer cover even after the heavy rain today. Will watch productivity through the weekend and hopefully this vent will help with fanning.

Moved lux sensor to East side of hive entrance to get a better reading on sunlight on the hive opening.
